Topic: Shaping The Future of Nigeria's Audio-visual archives.
Discussants: Mrs Joke Ayoola and Mallam Idris Moh'd Jimpy.

Jovi Okpodu reiterated the importance of audio-visual archiving." There is no contention of how vital archiving is in national development, thus, we should look at where we propose to be in archiving short, medium or long term".

Joke Ayoola said that archives can serve as a means of economy for the nation. Also we need to archive our present reality so as to have evidence for our children in the future.

According to Bishop one of the Master Students on Archiving and Film Culture who recently came back after a 6 month study from Germany, the question is how we preserve the films that are currently released on YouTube, Netflix etc, since they arent released on cinema. Could we consider these online outlets as archives? Bishop also suggested that Film archiving should be considered as the 6th stage of film production.
