The digital disruption created various options of monetization. Therefore, in the value chain of content provision and monetization one must identify where one fits in, in order to see the money. Digitization changed our consumption habits. So it is wise to leverage on content to earn money while content is being consumed. This is due to:
(a.) Rapid digitization 
(b.) Increase in the use of smartphones and tablets. 
(c.) Growing popularity of online video streaming.

YouTube has about 2.6 billion unique users and these translates to money.
Also, private streaming platforms can be procured. It could be transactional or subscription based.

   Furthermore, 1.4 Billion people live in Africa today. A tiny percentage of this is a large number and 650Million mobile phone users are in Africa it's a huge market. 
Almost 200Million people are linked to the Black and are in need of content. 

What is needed? 
Develop content. Develop an online channel.

Filmmaking is a highly demanding venture for serious people.
Think of an idea, develop the script. At rhe point of developing each aspect, the brand builder should visualise aspects where brands can key in, and he will realise money at the production stage.

The question is how do you reduce the liability on the producer so that it is shared by others and at the same time how do you go about managing resources? You could reach out to companies at the production stage, targeting various products. The idea is that you would have arranged everything at the pre-production stage with the company for a mutual relationship. Eg hotels, caterers and other props for a benefitial agreement. At the end of the day, you will be able to cut your budget down.
Also, one must be concious of time management and be professional enough to know what should be done to avoid more days of shooting, and save money. 

Showing in the cinema is a viable way of recouping the cost of production however, they are over17 revenue streams for a film. 

Cinema is avery vital on, but as a producer, you should explore all available options in the appropriate order for maximum gain.
